Vinitiques #24: use cases of generative AI at Tutiac
At the latest edition of the Vinitiques, Damien Malejacq, marketing & communication director, shared a few examples of AI integration at Tutiac. The idea here is to allow people to devote their time to higher-value tasks.
Generative AI is much more than a simple tool: it is a strategic opportunity. It does not replace humans, but frees up time to focus on high-value tasks, whether creativity, strategy or customer relations. However, its adoption must be thoughtful and structured in line with the company’s management and its strategy, it must involve the teams by training them, and it must be vigilant about legal and ethical issues.
Use cases
The use of AI at Tutiac has developed along 3 axes. First of all, quality: doing better and faster. AI is used for automatic checking (compliance of back labels in a few seconds), for reducing errors (strengthening regulatory compliance), and it also allows things to be done faster and more precisely, for example by enabling almost instant updates when a new standard comes out…
Another aspect of the use of AI: it has allowed the company to increase its marketing impact. On the one hand by improving its content: texts to be created are produced faster, more easily, with better overall consistency; gaps between writers’ skills are smoothed out, the company’s talking points are integrated and translations are produced on the fly. This increased efficiency is complemented by the simple, quick provision of visuals customised to its different customers and markets. A new bottle can thus be staged for an Italian or Japanese market in a few minutes, with no shoot or travel costs.
The last aspect of AI integration: automation of marketing processes. A technical sheet, for example, previously took between 5 and 10 minutes to produce; today it takes 10 seconds. This significant difference makes it possible to customise materials and frees up time for employees who, relieved of these repetitive tasks, can devote their time to higher-value tasks.
Examples of AI tools to use
To achieve these results, the company uses different generative AI tools. ChatGPT of course, for text generation, but also Midjourney, for creating images and visuals, CapCut for video editing and Canva for creating communication materials.
Less well known to the general public, other tools are used in addition: let us mention ElevenLabs, for high-quality speech synthesis, and HeyGen for creating videos with avatars.
On another note, other tools are essential, such as Notion, which allows databases to be organised, and Make which allows processes to be automated. In the end, Tutiac is able, for a new product, to generate a technical sheet in an almost automated way, and then also to roll out a presentation video and social media posts! For the moment, however, the company uses these processes only for its most standardised products; the technical sheets for premium products are still done by hand, for example.
