Now THE unmissable event for the wine industry, the Matinée des Œnologues de Bordeaux will take place on Friday 21 March 2025 at the Rocher de Palmer and will invite you on a scientific dive into the heart of carbon.
Carbon, a central element of life on Earth, is also a key player in the wine industry, affecting production, processing and the marketing of wines. At this 22nd edition of La Matinée des Œnologues de Bordeaux, renowned experts, researchers and field professionals will gather to explore the many facets of carbon from a scientific and environmental perspective.
The conferences will shed light on the carbon cycle, detailing the natural mechanisms that influence the balance of vineyards. The impact of viticultural practices on this cycle will be analysed, notably through studies of the carbon footprints of different stages of production, from vine to bottle.
Particular emphasis will be placed on innovations aimed at reducing carbon emissions in the industry. Participants will discover concrete examples of CO2 capture, with emerging technologies and pioneering projects in the sector.
