🌟 150 years of harvests celebrated at Château Maucaillou

The 2025 vintage of Château Maucaillou celebrates the estate’s 150th harvest, in the continuity of a know-how passed on with passion over several generations within the Dourthe family. A rigorous plot selection made it possible to retain the finest terroirs, complemented by precise work on the presses and ageing in extra-fine-grain barrels. The wine reveals fine aromatic intensity, between black fruits, spices and oaky notes, supported by fine tannins and good length. True to its identity, the Château Maucaillou label keeps its emblematic codes, enriched with the mention “150th Harvest 1875-2025”. This vintage embodies the estate’s heritage and pays tribute to those who have been writing its history for 150 years.

The visit continues with a creative workshop around clay, the raw material of this singular terroir, before concluding with a guided tasting of three of the property’s wines.

🍇The Domaine Andron vineyard is expanding

Since April 2026, Domaine Andron has officially taken over the farming of the vines of Château Bonneau-Livran, a neighbouring property, which will now be integrated into our production.

With this takeover, the Domaine Andron vineyard now extends over 11 hectares. The plots concerned are planted with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the two varieties that already make up the identity and main blend of their wines, which will be completed from the 2026 vintage with Petit Verdot.

These vines have already benefited for many years from the know-how of Vincent Faure, the technical director, who has been monitoring and caring for them since November 1998. His experience and perfect knowledge of these plots are a precious asset in preserving their qualities and supporting their integration into Domaine Andron.

This takeover is in line with their commitment to viticulture respectful of terroirs and their identity, and is also a new stage in the development of Domaine Andron, which involves strengthening their presence in the Médoc.
