Château Tour Séran, formerly the property of the Marquis de Ségur and bought in 2000 by Jean Guyon, is a fine property of some twenty hectares located on gravelly, clay-limestone rises bordering the Gironde near By and reminiscent of the lands of Pauillac.
Its vineyard, in a single block, is judiciously planted with one third Cabernet Sauvignon, one third Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
This diversity and the high average age of the vines (40 years) allow the wines of château Tour Séran to express a distinctive personality. Add to this ideal climatic conditions, thanks to the exposure on the river’s edge, which protects the vines from spring frosts, and you will understand why château Tour Séran reaps with its wines laurels that are more than mere critical courtesy. Seductive, rich and tannic, with a fine aromatic bouquet marked by leather, the wine of château Tour Seran is characterised above all by its roundness and its elegant fruitiness. Very well received by the critics since its first vintage in 2002, it has since won over many palates. Andréas Larsson, the world’s best sommelier, is proud to bring his experience to a quality terroir by associating his name with the Cru Bourgeois Tour Séran.
