For several centuries, the site of château Tour de Collin served as a mill and an observation post, each winegrowing family at the time cultivating a few acres of wheat needed for bread-making.
Overlooking the Dordogne and Garonne valleys, facing the Médoc, the vines of château Tour de Collin enjoy a south-west exposure. Covering 15 hectares, the vineyard is made up of noble grape varieties specific to the Côtes de Bourg: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Cabernet Franc.
Cultivated with extreme care, the grapes are picked at optimum ripeness and the harvest is destemmed. The fermentations, followed by very strict temperature control, allow a maceration of 3 weeks.
The wine is then aged for a minimum of 18 months before being bottled at the château.
The ideal storage conditions, with no temperature variations and an absence of light, allow the wines of château Tour de Collin to reach their fullness.
