A FASTUOUS HAUT-MÉDOC The history of Château Sénilhac goes back three centuries. On the left bank of the Bordeaux wine-growing area, in Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne, the vineyards stretch around a sumptuous estate where some of the greatest figures in the history of Haut Médoc wine have made their mark. On the left bank of the Bordeaux wine-growing area, between the Gironde and the Landes forests, to the north of Saint-Estèphe, Château Sénilhac covers 40.7 hectares, 23.76 of which are planted with vines. The vineyard benefits from a clay-limestone terroir, which harbours in its subsoil a large reserve of water, so precious in years of drought, giving the wine harmony and richness. With an average age of 25 years, the vineyard is cultivated with respect and observation to bring out its excellence. The combination of terroir and grape varieties makes Château Sénilhac a round, supple and fleshy wine, pleasant to drink young, but also, thanks to its dominant Cabernet, an excellent wine for laying down.
