The Boivert family, over nine generations of Médoc winegrowers, has rebuilt since 1764 the main part of the vineyard of the Domaine de Couquèques, a manor house that belonged to M. Louis de Genouillac in the 16th century, to which was added in 1852 the vineyard of M. de Sorbet.
Located on one of the best limestone subsoils of the Médoc, this vineyard is planted exclusively with noble grape varieties.
The production, kept for two years in new barrels before being bottled at the château, is marketed under the brands Château Les Ormes-Sorbet, Cru Bourgeois Supérieur (80 tonneaux), and Château de Conques (30 tonneaux).
The wines from this estate are among the most remarkable of the Médoc.
