Château la Fleur-Pourret

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru • 4.5 HA

The estate

In brief

Located a few hundred metres from the Grandes Murailles, château La Fleur-Pourret has belonged to the Manoncourt family since 2002.
With a clay-limestone soil, the 4.5-hectare estate has an interesting range of grape varieties. Mainly Merlot, it gives an important place to Cabernet Franc (54% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon).
Cultivation and vinification methods are traditional and attentive to showcasing this typical Saint-Émilion terroir. The cellars and vines are run by the same team as Figeac and the wine receives the same attention. Vinified in concrete and stainless steel vats, the wine is aged for 15 to 18 months in barrels. Average production is 20,000 bottles.
Very fine and good for keeping, the wines of La Fleur-Pourret are remarkably balanced and seductive.
The Manoncourt family also owns in Saint-Émilion château Figeac, 1st Grand Cru Classé, and château de Millery, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru.
