Château Grand-Puy Ducasse is a singular wine in the prestigious Pauillac appellation: its fragmented vineyard offers a mosaic of terroirs that make its vineyard one of the most representative of the appellation’s terroir diversity, giving its wines breed and elegance.
What’s more, it is the only cru whose château, vat room and cellars are located in the very heart of the village of Pauillac, on the quayside facing the impassive estuary.
“In short, the most Pauillac of Pauillacs, since it is one of the most representative and now the only wine to have been made in Pauillac for over two hundred years.
Since the takeover by CA Grands Crus, a subsidiary of Crédit Agricole, the quality of its wines and its positioning have continued to improve. The construction of a new vat room and two new ageing cellars, as well as the creation of a tourist trail, all contribute to the consolidation of a far-reaching plan for the estate, codenamed “Renaissance”.
“Pushing ever higher standards
is the credo of Château Grand-Puy Ducasse and its team, led by general manager Anne Le Naour and technical director Benjamin Cassoulet.
“The unique location of Château Grand-Puy Ducasse on the quays of Pauillac, facing the estuary, is an exceptional opportunity to welcome visitors and plunge them into the heart of the history of Grand-Puy Ducasse, Pauillac and Bordeaux wines.
