The estate

In brief

Château Grand-Clapeau-Olivier is a small chartreuse built at the end of the 19th century, but erected in the 18th-century style that is now classic in the Bordeaux region. Modest in size, it is complemented by various buildings reflecting the evolution of its operation and the personality of its successive owners. It has belonged to the Baudinière family since 1923.
This estate comprises more than 120 hectares, including 36 hectares of magnificent vines. This vineyard is located on the highest gravel rise in the canton of Blanquefort, bordering that of Bordeaux. Planted with the best grape varieties: 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, it is cultivated according to the purest Haut-Médoc tradition. Vinification is carried out with great care by the owner, advised by his oenologist, and the wine is aged in oak casks that are regularly renewed.
The wine produced is much appreciated throughout France, in Belgium, in Germany and even in the United States.
