Château Latour-Martillac

A treasure in a bottle

She is called Grapecap (“precious vine”) and dates from 1884. She is the oldest vine plot at Château Latour-Martillac. And since the 19th century, the grape varieties planted have remained unchanged: a very large majority of Sémillon and Muscadelle, as well as non-native varieties such as Chasselas, Folle Blanche and Melon de Bourgogne.

To pay tribute to Jean Kressmann, the Kressmann family has created an exceptional cuvée, named Grapecap 1884. Made from the 2021 vintage, this unique cuvée will be produced only in the greatest white wine years.

Château Brane-Cantenac

Cutting-edge facilities to enhance the wine

At the 2024 harvest, Château Brane-Cantenac passed a decisive milestone with the inauguration of its new barrel cellar and the transformation of its vat room, renovations that illustrate its commitment to excellence. Under the supervision of the architect Alexandre Rougier, the vat room was redesigned to include wooden vats, chosen in partnership with the cooper Seguin Moreau. This upgrade allows precise plot-by-plot winemaking and guarantees a harmonious continuity of production, from the fermentation stages through to ageing.

The renovated cellar, equipped with a sophisticated air-conditioning system and free-cooling, an ecological ventilation system that uses outside air, allows optimal control of temperature and humidity. In addition, the oak shell and custom LED lighting give the place a warm and timeless aesthetic. With these innovations, Château Brane-Cantenac strengthens its status among the grands crus of Margaux, combining ancestral know-how and cutting-edge technology.

A renovation as a gift for the Lurton family’s 100 years at Brane-Cantenac in 2025!
