🌱Château Montrose 2023, first vintage enshrined in Terrasse 4

‍

The arrival of Pierre Graffeuille as managing director in 2022 marks a refocusing of Château Montrose on the truest expression of its terroir. In resonance with the groundwork carried out on the soils by Vincent Decup, technical director, a precise winegrowing approach has taken hold around Terrasse 4, the historic heart of the vineyard and the chosen land of Cabernet Sauvignon. Tastings of the 2023 vintage reveal its coherence and constitute the first testimony to this renewed reading of the terroirs.

🍷From graft to glass – OZE

‍

The OZE cuvée was born from the desire of David Amblevert, a passionate nurseryman and winegrower, to “dare” (oser) to make wine. Since 2024 and the first vinification in a private cellar, the range has expanded with the Rosé OZE 182 1126 and the Blanc OZE 108 905. True to their original calling as nurserymen, veritable gardeners of the vine, they use the diversity of their grape varieties to create cuvées that marry terroir and intuition, adapted to climate challenges and consumer tastes.

✨ Château d’Yquem – Release of the 2023 vintage

‍
After the crystalline finesse of 2021 and the sunny power of 2022, the 2023 vintage marks both the culmination of this historic trilogy and Château d’Yquem’s entry into a new era, carried by a collective vision and a new technical generation. A contrasting climatic cycle favoured a harmonious development of noble rot. On tasting, Château d’Yquem 2023 seduces with its luminous density, its harmony, its aromas of apricot and mandarin, a broad and silky palate and great ageing potential.
