Clos Beauregard, detached from Château Beauregard and acquired by Antoine Moueix in the 1930s, now belongs to Jean-Michel Moueix.
It is located at the foot of Château Beauregard, whose vineyard it borders for nearly 800 metres. Its soil is made up of old gravel and sand with, in the subsoil, an important layer of iron residues which dominates throughout this sector of the Pomerol appellation.
The vineyard, with an average age of 40 years and an area of 5 hectares, is made up of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, then the entire harvest is put into oak barrels, a third of which are renewed every year. Bottling takes place 18 months after the harvest.
