Bought in November 1965 by the father of the present owner, this small estate was then called Domaine de Petit Vauzelle, very well known at the beginning of the 20th century as a Premier Cru of Néac awarded medals at the exhibitions of Paris, Liège and Bordeaux. On 4 September 1968, when the trademark registration was renewed, it became “château Voselle”.
Located on a sand-gravel or gravel-clay soil, this small 6-ha vineyard is farmed traditionally, and therefore without weedkiller. The harvest is carried out at optimum ripeness with selective sorting by plot by our pickers. Ploughing of the land and harvest by hand, 0% barrels: these are the strong points of “Voselle”.
Throughout the year, we do careful work in our vines, with the reward of vintages awarded medals at the Aquitaine wine competition and selected by the Dussert-Gerber, Hubert and Gilbert & Gaillard guides, not forgetting the loyalty and appreciation of our customers.
During visits, it is with immense pleasure that we show what the craft of a hands-on winegrower is, thus sharing our passion.
