Château Villemaurine

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru • 8 HA

The estate

In brief

The 8-hectare vineyard of Château Villemaurine, a Grand Cru Classé, adjoins the town of Saint-Emilion. A veritable showcase, situated on the top of the asteriated limestone plateau, the vineyard’s relief is very moderate, forming a slight ridge on the western side and a sloping plateau with a slight northerly exposure on the eastern side.

In 2021, the LEFEVERE family, owners of Chateau Sansonnet, Chateau Moulin du Cadet and Chateau Soutard Cadet, fell under the spell of Villemaurine and bought the property from the Onclin family (owners since 2007). Our philosophy combines respect for the terroir and the quest for excellence. Only complexity, breed and finesse are sought. With their length, minerality and distinction, the wines of Château Villemaurine reflect, vintage after vintage, the sublime expression of the finest Saint-Émilion, at the height of an exceptional terroir.
