Of the property’s 63 hectares, 56 are planted with red vines and 7 with white vines. The terroir is fabulous: a sandy-gravel plateau on the third terrace of the Garonne, where the vines love to flourish, a terroir imbued with the woody scents of the Landes forest. In the heart of the Graves, the Tourteau-Chollet estate enjoys an idyllic location, producing silky, delicious, elegant wines… Since its creation in the 18th century, Château Tourteau-Chollet has benefited from the quality of its terroir and has been recognised as one of the greatest Graves growths since 1943. Since 2001, this magnificent terroir has been developed in two ways:
– Restructuring the vineyard around high planting densities and working the soil instead of weeding to ensure genuine respect for biodiversity.
