The estate

In brief

Admirably situated on a unique clay-gravel spur in the commune of Néac, facing the greatest Pomerols, only a few hundred metres away, the vineyard of Château Tournefeuille, planted with the finest Gironde grape varieties, produces wines of great class that are a remarkable expression of hillside wines.
In 1765, the French cartographer Pierre Belleyme located, on his topographical map of Guyenne, vines on the hillsides of the place called Tournefeuille. This testimony was taken up and made more precise more recently by Professor Henri Enjalbert in his work Les grands vins de Saint-Émilion, Pomerol, Fronsac. At that time it was an estate organised as a farm. At the end of the 19th century, the owner of the day, M. Victor Tastet, embellished it with a large and elegant manor house, enabling it to claim the title of château.
In early 1998, the Petit and Cambier families acquired Château Tournefeuille. They are working to perfect the production of this cru by giving all their attention to the vineyard and by making investments to modernise the cellars.
