Château Simon

Barsac • 40 HA

The estate

In brief

The Dufour family has owned Château Simon for six generations. In 2009, Anne-Laure Bonnard Dufour took over the running of the estate, still well supported for some time by her father, Jean-Hugues Dufour, who has directed it for more than 40 years.
This estate, which has grown over the decades, has managed to combine modern techniques with tradition. Its harvest, carefully picked in three or four passes depending on the development of the noble rot, is monitored with the greatest attention throughout its fermentation in a modern vat room. Ageing takes place in oak barrels for 18 months.
Its constant drive towards better quality enables it to produce a wine much appreciated by French and foreign customers.
Many medals have rewarded the owner’s efforts.
