The estate

In brief

Paul Dauvin gave birth to this fine family story in 1931. He settled in Langon and planted the first vines of Ludeman les Cèdres. In 1955, his son-in-law, Jean Brussac, took over the estate, which at the time covered 2 ha. In 1957 Antonio Molinari, son-in-law of Jean Brussac, arrived on the estate and brought the family holding to 7 ha. Between 1975 and 1987, he completely restructured the estate. Finally in 1988, Pascal Molinari left IT and joined him.
Great-grandson of the founder, he continues the development of the cru. Since then, the vineyard has grown, and Pont de Brion was created in 1988. This name comes from a plot located in the commune of Langon. Today, the vineyard covers an area of 20 hectares. This property markets the first wine under the name Château Pont de Brion, which comes in A.O.C. Graves red, white and Graves Supérieures, the second wine taking the name Château Ludeman Les Cèdres in memory of the first vines planted.
The wines obtained are, for the dry whites, brilliant and limpid, expressive and elegant on the nose, very lively, balanced, and with a fine integration. The Pont de Brion Graves red has a deep, intense colour and a nose of well-ripened red fruit. The whole is graceful and homogeneous with a fine finish.
