The Château Plaisance vineyards are located in the Côtes de Bourg, admirably exposed on the banks of the Gironde, offering a panoramic view over the Médoc here.
Their clay-limestone soils and exceptional exposure give their wines great suppleness and a quickly blossoming fruitiness. Their planting includes different grape varieties: Cabernet, Merlot and Malbec. Their harvest receives careful attention and is aged in oak casks.
Made from the best plots and the noblest grape varieties of their vineyard, the prestige cuvée has benefited from long ageing in carefully selected new barrels and from special care by their cellar master. The wine of this cuvée has subtle oak, a ruby colour and tannins without roughness. Generous, of fine intensity and structured with great aromatic and fruit power, it is prolonged by a spicy finish.
In 2004, the property was taken over by the Faure family. Delphine and Agnès are giving a new, feminine impetus to this superb terroir and bringing new prestige to Château Plaisance.
