The estate

In brief

Located north-east of Saint-Émilion, Château Peyreau, with its vast park planted with centuries-old trees of many rare species, is one of the most beautiful and important estates in the region.
In 1860, the Beylot family acquired this estate for the quality of its wines and the former reputation of its vineyard. They rebuilt it and had a fine residence built in the middle of a vast park.
From 1874, Édouard Féret gave “Peyraud” a descriptive entry and ranked it among the Second Growths of Saint-Émilion.
This estate is remarkable for its facilities: the very large cellars can house more than four harvests.
Its vineyard of about 13 hectares, planted with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, produces very supple wines, both fine and full-bodied. These qualities have often been recognised and have earned it numerous awards.
The wines of Château Peyreau are always delivered exclusively under the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation; they are supple, fine and harmonious.
