Château Moulin du Cadet is ideally situated on the Cadet hill on the outskirts of Saint-Émilion. This 2.85 hectare Cru Classé benefits from a clay-limestone terroir on the Saint-Émilion plateau and features a 100% Merlot grape variety. In 2015, Château Moulin du Cadet joined the Lefévère family’s vineyards alongside Château Sansonnet, also a Grand Cru Classé, and Châteaux Soutard-Cadet and Harmonie, in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru.
In 2017, the estate underwent a complete overhaul of its vineyards and cellars, with the installation of a new double-walled, thermo-regulated, truncated-cone stainless steel vat room with automatic punching-down system, as well as a new ageing cellar and packaging cellar. An area dedicated to full barrel vinification has also been fitted out.
