Right from the start, Château Martinho benefited from the proven expertise of a large team equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. This enabled Miguel Martinho Afonso to initiate a particularly rich approach to quality in record time.
By producing a remarkable vintage in 2009, Château Martinho immediately joined the ranks of the finest Listrac wines. The estate’s burgeoning reputation was quickly confirmed by the glowing comments of the Guide Hachette, which awarded it several “Coup de Coeur” awards, including the one it received in 2013, with the comment: “This remarkable bottle has only one flaw, its relative rarity”.
It repeated this experience when it appeared in the Guide Hachette 2020, with organic farming certification for the 2020 vintage.
