To the south of Bordeaux, in Léognan, Château Malartic-Lagravière, a red and white Graves Grand Cru Classé, has stood for centuries on one of the finest gravelly hilltops.
In the 18th century, it was owned by the family of the illustrious admiral Count Hippolyte Maurès de Malartic, who gave it its name. Since then, only three families have succeeded each other at the head of the estate, until the arrival of the Bonnie family in 1997, who raised it to the prestigious status it occupies today.
Particular attention is paid to preserving the ecosystem surrounding the estate’s 73 hectares. The vineyards are managed according to agro-ecological concepts: preservation of biodiversity through minimal ploughing by horse, plant cover and eco-pasturing.
The ultra-efficient gravity-fed cellar, reception rooms, Château and grounds form a setting worthy of the quality of the wines.
Château Malartic-Lagravière produces exceptional wines that respect the site and its terroir. They offer wine lovers elegant, uniquely expressive wines.
