Located in the commune of Cabanac-Villagrains, in the canton of La Brède, Château Langlet is one of the oldest crus of its region. It is listed in the guide Bordeaux et ses Vins of the Éditions Féret of 1868, for its red and white production.
The vineyard spreads over a rise of deep gravel, magnificently exposed. Since 1999, it has been the property of the Jean Kressmann family, who practise traditional cultivation and vinification. The family also owns Château Latour Martillac, Cru Classé de Graves in red and white in Martillac, and runs Château de Gorce in Quinsac and Château de Lespault in Martillac.
The reds, mostly of the Merlot grape variety, are very charming. After a year of ageing in casks, they prove elegant and delicate. The whites, made solely from the Sauvignon grape variety, are fruity and appealing. They are highly representative of the great wines of Graves.
