The Laffitte-Carcasset growth, Cru Bourgeois, comprises about 30 hectares, most of them around the château. It owes its name to M. Joseph Laffitte, who farmed this estate in 1790. It now belongs to S.C.I. château Laffitte-Carcasset.
Its vineyard produces an excellent wine, remarkable for its bouquet and great finesse. It owes its qualities to the particular nature of the soil that feeds it, as well as to the choice of grape varieties that make it up, some of which are very old.
Part of the harvest is also sold under the château La Vicomtesse brand.
The wine of château Laffitte-Carcasset has received several awards, the most recent being at the Bordeaux regional agricultural competition 2010 and Decanter 2009-2010
