Château La Grave in Pomerol (formerly La Grave-Trigant-de-Boisset), set in a veritable nest of greenery among tall centuries-old trees, is counted among the oldest-known and most esteemed growths of Pomerol.
Its vineyard, planted with the best grape varieties and admirably exposed on the western slope of the plateau, where the grapes, caressed by the slightest ray of sun, ripen in favourable conditions, is particularly distinguished by the various iron ores which, in a perfectly assimilable form, enter into the geological composition of its soil, with an altogether exceptional covering of stones.
Thus the wines of Château La Grave in Pomerol, of great delicacy, velvety and generous, have always drawn the attention of gourmets. They have the finest renown, not only in France but also abroad; they have toured the main world markets, where they have carried with the most brilliant lustre the good name of the wines of Pomerol.
Domaine Trigant de Boisset is the estate’s second wine, with a production of about 1,000 cases.
