The Jean family has farmed this growth for a long time. A careful reading of our latest editions shows the tenacity of this family in developing the property.
In 1969, Roger Jean produced 20 barrels. In 1982, production equalled 60 barrels, then in 1991, 75 barrels. Today more than 1000 hectolitres are produced each year. In thirty years, production has been multiplied by 6!
Committed to quality, the Jean family is proud of its know-how.
The plots are mainly located in the communes of Couquèques and Civrac, offering free-draining soils that are predominantly clay-limestone or limestone sandstone. The combination of a terroir of strong typicity, noble grape varieties and traditional vinification brings balance and harmony to this Médoc.
