This property, acquired by Alain and Bernadette Aubert in 1980, has been enriched with plots magnificently located on gravel terroirs. Situated at the foot of the Saint-Émilion hillside, it rubs shoulders with the best crus of the appellation. Château Haut Gravet benefits from the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. The diversity of the plots, carried by soils of different origins: old gravel, gravel-clay or compact clay, makes it possible to produce wines with different characteristics.
From the choice of blends comes a wine of great finesse with a delicate bouquet and tannins powerful enough to ensure excellent ageing. All these elements allow Château Haut Gravet to be well rated by the leading tasters and to regularly win medals in various competitions.
This château is part of Domaines Alain Aubert, which also own Châteaux German, Hyot, de Macard and Ribebon.
