Château Haut-Canteloup

Médoc

The estate

In brief

This Médoc cru, classified Bourgeois in 1932 and confirmed in 2003, is located on the banks of the Gironde, 80 kilometres north of Bordeaux. The soils are of 2 types: 26 hectares of good Garonne gravel in the commune of Saint-Christoly-du-Médoc, and 12 hectares of clay-limestone in the commune of Couquèques.
It was acquired in 1987 by M. Dominique Dufreix, who brought together the properties Château Haut Canteloup and Château Les Mourlanes.
For some years now, significant efforts have thus been made towards optimal quality, making the best use of the richness and diversity of the terroirs in order to draw out their finest expression. The reward for this work is a round, fruity wine.
