The estate

In brief

Like its 16th-century façade, Château Grand Mayne cultivates the authentic in its plainness and simplicity.
With an initial area of more than 100 hectares of crops in the 18th century, when the Laveau family owned it, Grand Mayne today consists solely of 17 hectares of vines, its core business.
Harmoniously distributed at the four cardinal points around the château, which seems to rest on a bed of greenery in the summer season, more than 100,000 vines spread across the gentle slopes of a south-west-facing hillside, glorified until the last rays of the setting sun.
Authentic and romantic, Grand Mayne is also home to a perfectionist technique, adapted to its complex terroir, whose many facets it would be laborious to list here; the essential is in the bottle, and one need only taste to imagine it…
Thus the Nony family has had the pleasure of watching over Grand Mayne since 1934. Today, after Jean, Jean-Pierre and his wife Marie-Françoise, it is the turn of the third generation, with Jean-Antoine, to continue the “family undertaking”, striving body and soul in the search for excellence.
