Laurent Rebes took over the family vines in 1994, with the aim of giving the terroir its own identity.
In 1998, the first labelled bottle, Garance Haut Grenat, was born. A warm, direct welcome and the sharing of a countryman’s passion are part of his nature.
Château Garance Haut Grenat has been producing wines under its own name since 1998. Previously, the family vines were cultivated and the harvest vinified at the cooperative cellar. Since 2001, the château has been the only small estate still active in the commune of Bégadan.
Over the years the small winegrowers have disappeared. Customers are looking for authenticity and exchange, and turn particularly to this estate, where visitors are received with complete simplicity.
