The very old and splendid estate of Château du Cauze occupies an entire high mound overlooking the Saint-Émilion region.
Planted with the traditional Saint-Émilion grape varieties on a clay-limestone terroir, this vineyard takes advantage of its different exposures to produce, regularly every year, supple, full-bodied wines with a rich bouquet, full of sap.
The quality of the traditionally aged wines of Château du Cauze has made them appreciated at all times, in France as well as abroad, particularly in England, Belgium and Holland.
In 1986, Bruno Laporte bought the entire estate in order to perfect the quality chain that makes the reputation of its wines.
He undertook extensive works in the vinification and ageing cellars, while remaining within the tradition of the estate.
Part of the wine is marketed under another brand, Château Tour du Cauze.
Numerous gold medals won from the 1900s to the present day confirm the high qualities of this cru, renowned since time immemorial.
