Located in a small village 7 km from Lesparre and 4 km from the Gironde estuary, Château de la Croix, a Cru Bourgeois du Médoc, has a vineyard that peaks at 33 metres. This estate has remained exclusively in the family since 1870, with 4 generations passing down an ancestral know-how from father to son.
Over time, each generation has enlarged the vineyard, whose area today reaches some thirty hectares.
These successive enlargements explain the impressive number of plots that make it up and their varied orientations.
The diversity of soils and a blend of grape varieties that is appropriate and classic for the region give the wines balance and harmony. They acquire roundness and finesse and are discreetly oaky. They are wines with a rich bouquet, well structured, with melted tannins whose power expresses a terroir and a typicity well.
