The estate

In brief

The Château Cap de Haut vineyard has existed since the 18th century. It belonged to M. de Brassier, at that time owner of very well-known Crus Classés in the Médoc. Subsequently, the Marquis Paul Brunet d’Évry acquired it in 1920 with his wife the Comtesse de Fumel. It still belongs to the same family and is run by S.C. Gromand d’Évry (also Château de Lamarque), managed by Pierre-Gilles Gromand-Brunet d’Évry.
The vines of Château Cap de Haut are located to the “rising sun” of the village of Lamarque. The majestic gateway to the farm buildings bears the arms of Évry and Fumel; the year of its construction, 1704, is also engraved there.
The wine of Château Cap de Haut is characterised by its freshness and fruitiness. The traditional grape varieties give it fine tannins and good ageing potential.
