Château Busquet

Lussac Saint-Émilion • 13 HA

The estate

In brief

Château Busquet, located in the north of the commune of Lussac, was acquired by Dominique Robin in early 1973 with only 3 ha under vine. Since then he has worked to restructure the vineyard of this very old property, on which old vines still survive.
Dominique Robin has now increased its area to 11 ha of vines and thus rebalanced its blend of grape varieties.
The improvement of the vat room and the barrel cellar make Château Busquet a pleasant place to come and taste and appreciate its production in the tasting room.
Vinified traditionally in stainless steel vats, for between 20 and 30 days depending on the year, with total destemming and a search for a fruity and aromatic wine, it is a balanced wine, tannic without excess, very good for keeping while being pleasant when young. It is aged in oak casks until bottling.
Dominique Robin also runs Château Le Castelet in the Pomerol A.O.C. and Château La Graside in Bordeaux.
