Château Beauséjour, renowned for its wines for a very long time and recognised from the origin of the Saint-Émilion classification, has remained the family’s property since 1847. For seven generations, the Duffau-Lagarrosse heirs have been committed to perpetuating this historic vineyard, a seven-hectare jewel rooted on a superb south-west-facing hillside, open to wind and sun, in the centre of the grands crus. Guided by long experience and concerned for the quality of the wines of Beauséjour, the family has entrusted the management to two of its members, Christophe Redaud and his cousin Vincent Duffau-Lagarrosse, with the mission of perpetuating the values of excellence of château Beauséjour, in a family spirit open to modernity and progress.
As always, and for more than 30 years with the help of Michel Rolland at blending time, the two cousins now rely on an experienced team to carry out the necessary developments and to raise the quality of the wines of château Beauséjour to the highest level, vintage after vintage. It is in this spirit that they asked Nicolas Thienpont to take over the management of the estate from the 2009 vintage and, with the help of his team and of Stéphane Derenoncourt, to support château Beauséjour and faithfully express the nobility of this terroir, recognised among the greatest.
