Safer
About
The Safer* are land development and rural property companies. They were created in the 1960s by the young farmers of the CNJA*.
Their expertise in agricultural land development and their effective presence in this field have gradually led the public authorities to broaden their field of action to include all aspects of rural land development: local authorities, major projects, and environmental protection... These additional missions are enshrined in agricultural law.
Through studies and even the realization of land operations, the Sociétés d'aménagement foncier et d'établissement rural (Safer) play a major role in the development of rural areas.
The three main missions of a Safer:
- to revitalize agriculture and forest areas, to encourage the installation of young people;
- to protect the environment, landscapes and natural resources;
- to accompany the development of the local economy.
