Médoc
rouge • 5710 ha
If we stick to the text defining the Médoc AOC, it covers all the vineyards and wine-producing communes of the Médoc peninsula, including those that may benefit from a specific appellation.
In concrete terms, we can see that Médoc appellation wines are mainly produced from vineyards located in the north of the peninsula, from the communes of Saint-Germain-d'Esteuil, Ordonnac and Saint-Yzans-de-Médoc. Probably because of the distance of this area from Bordeaux, the extension of the vineyard is the most recent.
In this vast territory, we can distinguish numerous terroirs ranging from Garonne gravel to Pyrenean gravel and clay-limestone soils.

About the wines
The wines of the Médoc appellation are enchanting in more ways than one. The diversity of the terroirs and the individuality of the winemakers make it possible to elaborate wines which, although having a family resemblance, each have their own characteristics and personality.
The wine lover discovers an infinite range of sensations and pleasures, visual, olfactory, gustatory and even tactile. When they are full-bodied, they should be left to age to better appreciate their nuances. Lighter, finer and more bouqueted, they can be drunk on their fruit.
