Château de Sours is today writing a new chapter in its history, the result of several years of transformation : conversion of the vineyard to organic farming, an in-depth reading of the terroirs, a redefinition of the grape varieties and the assertion of cuvées with a strong identity. This approach is part of a demanding philosophy in which every decision is made in the conviction that great wines are built over time and that every action helps shape tomorrow’s legacy.
Owned by Mr Jack Ma, Château de Sours lies in the heart of the hills of the Entre-Deux-Mers, across more than 200 hectares of preserved nature, among woodland, meadows, lakes and springs. Under the direction of Sébastien Jacquey, the estate cultivates 55 hectares of vines within a remarkably rich ecosystem, whose balances nourish the expression of the terroirs as much as they inspire the management of the vineyard.
This attention also guides meticulous work in the cellar. Ageing is conceived as a work of precision, in which technical choices and time engage in a fine dialogue. It is followed by a unique bottle ageing, patiently accompanying each cuvée towards its optimal maturity, so that it reveals the most brilliant expression of its origin.
