The estate

In brief

Château Grand Tuillac, a 40-hectare estate, extends its 26-hectare vineyard over the highest hillside of the Côtes-de-Castillon. It has been in the Lavigne family for 6 generations.
The growing and vinification methods are those handed down from generation to generation: total destemming, traditional maceration, three-week vatting, blending 12 months after the harvest and natural stabilisation.
Made from noble grape varieties, with Merlot in the majority, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, tended in casks in the cellars of Château Grand Tuillac, the wines of Château Grand Tuillac are bottled at the property.
The Lavigne family also owns Château Grand Bert, a 15th-century residence surrounded by an 11-hectare vineyard in the prestigious Saint-Émilion appellation.
The consistent quality of these crus has earned them recognition across Europe and the world. The large share of exports (50%) was a goal to be reached. The next step is to reach 80% of these productions in this market sector.
