Fabienne Lagoubie, new owner of Château Grand Destieu since the end of 2013, has undertaken major works.
In the cellar, the whole stainless steel and wooden vat room is fitted with temperature control. Gravity reception, as well as the purchase of harvest reception equipment, a peristaltic pump, a destemmer, a sorting table and a vertical hydraulic press, were completed for the 2014 harvest.
The wine tourism activity will begin in the course of 2015 thanks to the creation of a tasting cellar. In the vines, soil work, mechanical weeding, manual leaf removal, green harvests and hand harvesting are the watchwords.
Fabienne Lagoubie lives in Sarlat, where her husband is a pharmacist and where she grows a few truffles.
They fell in love with this 4-hectare property, which will enable them to make an excellent Saint-Émilion Grand Cru.
