The estate

In brief

Château Brun has been the property of the Brun family for several centuries; M. Brun holds documents proving their presence on this terroir from 1600. They are descendants of the illustrious Decazes family, and their Saint-Émilion origins are said to be lost in the night of the Early Middle Ages.
Its wine has always been considered the equal of the Premiers Crus of the commune, thanks to the selection of grape varieties and the care given to vinification. A loyal clientele follows this wine from year to year and helps increase its renown, both in France and abroad. Part of the harvest is marketed under the name Château du Beau-Vallon.
Vinification is closely monitored and carried out according to good traditional methods with two pumping-overs a day. The vatting period, lasting 18 to 25 days, gives the wine a fine deep colour, an elegant frame and a suave bouquet. All this makes a wine that is true to Saint-Émilion type and particularly suited to ageing.
