Pibran is an old Médoc name. The vineyard is located on the rise where d’Armailhac and Pontet-Canet are neighbours. This Cru Bourgeois of 1932, then Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in 2003, was rebuilt by Monsieur Paul Billa in 1941.
In 2001, a new unit was formed with the acquisition of Château Tour Pibran, also a Cru Bourgeois in 1932. Since then, the estate has chosen to withdraw from the crus bourgeois classification.
This new whole now produces two wines: Château Pibran, the first wine, and Château Tour Pibran, the second wine.
