Château Muret

Haut-Médoc • 30 HA

The estate

In brief

This estate, already listed in the first edition of our work, was taken over in 1985 by M. and Mme Philippe Boufflerd, who have since completely restructured it.
The vineyard, in a single block, located in the clay-limestone part of the commune, extends over 22 hectares, planted half with Cabernet Sauvignon and half with Merlot Noir. Yields, with a view to quality, are controlled by a controlled grass cover to very good effect.
The harvest, vinified according to the traditional methods of the Médoc in a modern and functional vat room, followed by ageing in barrels, produces a wine with a delicate bouquet, a dark purple colour, well structured, tannic and able to age.
