Jean Guyon has no equal when it comes to awakening sleeping great terroirs. His preferred land is the Médoc, or rather the northern Médoc. When he bought Château La Clare in the year 2000, major work was carried out in the vineyard and the vinification was entrusted to the Tuscan master Ricardo Cotarella.
With a limpid red colour and a perfume that is both oaky and fruity on the first nose, a perfect structural balance can be detected on the second nose. The attack is silky, the mid-palate shows a slight glycerol touch and moderate acidity is detected.
A Cru Bourgeois since 1978, this wine develops fine, well-integrated tannins. On the palate, it shows pleasant suppleness and develops fruity aromas with finesse and elegance.
