The estate

In brief

Since its creation in 1945, this estate, classified in the Médoc appellation, has always remained in the hands of the Brochard-Cahier family.
Gradually taking over the torch from her parents, Christelle Cahier represents the third generation. “When you are born into this world, it is always easier to be accepted. As a child, I already followed along in the vines to do the small jobs. In fact I didn’t ask myself too many questions. Taking over the family estate was something natural for me.”
After studies in viticulture and oenology, we created a company with my husband. Located in the commune of Blaignan, the estate has grown and now has 16 hectares spread over four large plots between Blaignan and Prignac, planted in equal parts with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
“We have a production of 896 hectolitres,” explains Christelle Cahier. “We sell the equivalent of 180 hectolitres directly at the château, after twelve months of ageing in barrels. We have a loyal clientele: French people, but also Germans, English and a few Belgians.”
