Château Carbonnieux is one of the oldest and largest wine estates in the Bordeaux region. Its history spans almost 8 centuries and its vineyards cover around 100 hectares. Its worldwide reputation was established in 1740 under the impetus of the Benedictine monks of the Abbaye Sainte Croix de Bordeaux, but the vineyard’s roots can be traced back to the Middle Ages. Today, it has belonged to the Perrin family for 4 generations, and is located entirely around the château at the top of a superb gravelly hilltop. The vines are cultivated in a sustainable, eco-responsible way and are devoted exclusively to dry white wine and red wine, both of which qualify as Grands Crus Classés de Graves.
