The estate

In brief

Château Montlandrie is located on a clay-limestone terroir that overlooks the Dordogne a few kilometres from the gravel and clay of Pomerol, where the Durantou family also makes great fine wines.
This vineyard of 15 hectares, established in the nineteenth century by an Italian family charmed by this Tuscan landscape, is in the extension of the hills that are home to Ausone, Larcis Ducasse and Tertre Rotebœuf, visible from the Moulin de Landry, which overlooks the town of Castillon.
With a high planting density, more than six thousand vines per hectare, the north and south slopes of Château Montlandrie, planted with 75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc, make it possible to produce wines that harmoniously combine all the tastes of wine: floral and ripe-fruit aromas, dense and firm texture, then voluptuous depth.
Château Montlandrie is vinified in a vat room adapted to plot selection and aged in an adjoining functional barrel cellar, together with the other wines produced by Denis Durantou : Château Haut Gaillardet and Le Moulin de Landry in the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation d’origine contrôlée. Tasted every year en primeur by the opinion-formers of the wine world, Château Montlandrie is listed by the best distributors.
