The vineyard is located on the archaeological site of Niord (Saint-Étienne de Lisse), dating from the 5th century BC, where remains have been found, including a remarkably well-preserved skeleton more than 2500 years old.
This skeleton is on display at Château Fombrauge, another property of Bernard Magrez.
